UBUNTU – Phase III
In order to reduce the negative effects of the Corona pandemic, the diocese of Istmina-Tadó, with the support of CASA HOGAR and the Kindermissionswerk, carried out educational and recreational activities. Under the guidance of a group of professionals, including recreational educators, nurses and social workers, children were taught about the importance of the virus in everyday life and how to deal with it properly. The focus was on psychological support during this difficult time.
The recreational activities of the project were not only carried out in Istmina, but also in 8 other remote communities in Chocó.
The project also aimed to train teachers in the schools of Istmina in the use of digital literacy and distance learning methods.
