Music meets passionate commitment!
CASA HOGAR benefit concert with Almas do Mundo near Greifswald
After the great success in Schwerin in autumn, the second CASA HOGAR benefit concert will now take place in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on 23 May 2025 – this time in Weitenhagen near Greifswald!
An evening full of rousing music, South American rhythms and lived solidarity awaits you in the newly renovated hall of the Schwedenschanze. Admission starts at 7 pm – including catering with drinks and delicious grilled sausages, the proceeds of which will also go to CASA HOGAR. The concert starts at 8 pm.
Almas do Mundo, the artists without borders, bring the soul of South America directly to Western Pomerania. With their unique sound between samba, bossa nova and the little-known but fascinating genre of choro, they will enchant their audience. They are supported by dancer Macarena Ruiz, whose expressive dancing brings the music to life.
Our volunteers Hannah Wagner-Gillen and Anna Strauß will also be helping out on site. Both have connections in the region and are delighted to be able to help organise the concert. Anna said: “This January, I was in Colombia myself and got to know the girls, who not only have a roof over their heads thanks to CASA HOGAR, but above all a perspective. With the benefit concert, we are also supporting the construction of the new dormitory. I will be so happy when the girls can move into their new home soon.”
Many thanks also go to Dorffleischerei Strauß and the ‘Alte Scheune’ holiday flats, who are actively supporting this event as sponsors.
Come along – for a musical evening full of heart, rhythm and commitment.
