Our projects in Colombia
CASA HOGAR has only existed since the end of 2015 – and can already look back on a number of successfully implemented projects. These successes have been made possible not only through support on the ground in Colombia, but also through consistent fundraising in Germany and the support of other development cooperation organizations.
Our main focus is on female students from remote areas who find a safe home in our dormitories while they work towards their school or university degrees. These facilities complement each other, as female students are given the opportunity to transfer to the student dormitory after graduating from high school.
CASA HOGAR Niña María: Dormitory for schoolgirls

In the “CASA HOGAR Niña María” dormitory, girls can live and learn in a protected and carefree way while attending the Colegio Diocesano school.

QUIBDÓ
In October 2020, the dormitory “CASA HOGAR La Paz” for female university students opened in the Chocó capital of Quibdó, a place where many dreams come true!

ISTMINA
Since February 2022, we support a women’s shelter for women who are in danger or whose rights have been violated. They find protection, help and psychological support there.

Further projects
Even though school and academic education, especially for women, is the basis for an independent and sustainable development of the region, it must not stop there. In addition to the dormitories, CASA HOGAR therefore supports various other projects for the holistic education and empowerment of girls and women, e.g. through workshops, psychosocial support and contact points.
