OUR PROJECTS IN COLOMBIA

CASA HOGAR besteht erst seit Ende 2015 – und kann schon jetzt auf eine Reihe erfolgreich durchgeführter Projekte zurückblicken.
Möglich wurden diese Erfolge nicht nur durch Unterstützung vor Ort in Kolumbien, sondern vor allem auch durch konsequente Spendenarbeit hier in Deutschland und die Unterstützung durch andere Organisationen der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit.

“Apoyo psicosocial”
Psychological support for girls in Chocó

Where in Istmina are drugs sold? Which streets should young girls avoid because paramilitaries or criminals are on the move? And what can the girls do if they are physically threatened or sexually exploited?

“CASA HOGAR La Paz”

In October 2020, the “CASA HOGAR La Paz” dormitory opened for university students in the Chocó capital, Quibdó, a place where many dreams come true!

Mission UBUNTU phase 3:
Support for children and their families
during the COVID pandemic

Under the guidance of specialists, including leisure educators, nurses and social workers, the children are brought closer to the importance of the virus in everyday life and how to deal with it correctly, and they are also given psychological support.

… serves both to feed the residents and the running costs such as electricity in the hostel and above all secures the financing of a professional pedagogical force urgently needed in this context.

… in Istmina Tadó, 20 (and in the long term 40) girls should offer a safe and secure home so that they can live in a safe environment while they graduate from college at the Colegio Diocesano.

The extension of the
“Colegio Diocesano San José”

… increases the capacity of this ecclesiastical and regionally renowned school in Istmina from 200 to 400 pupils and thus has the necessary space to train pupils up to a school leaving certificate with university entrance qualification.

The extension of the break area in
“Colegio Diocesano San José”

… enables the pupils to play protected outdoors during breaks and free periods, without the danger from the passing street and without disturbing other classes while studying.

The initial equipment of a kitchen in the hostel

… enables the inexpensive preparation of food for the residents of the hostel and at the same time creates a space in which the girls learn to actively participate in the community.

… enables 400 pupils of indigenous and Afro-Columbian origin to stay in a dry place sheltered from the rain, where they can eat and exchange ideas.

„Vamos a construir paz“ – an inner-columbian-intercultural exchange

… brought the residents of Casa Hogar Niña María and students of a private school near Bogotá closer together. They learned about the different life situations and yet similar life dreams in their common homeland.

… ten young people from Istmina discussed the role and significance of women and recorded their own thoughts in the form of a short video.
