“CASA HOGAR addresses the educational support of young women and girls in the guerrilla and paramilitary controlled Chocó region in western Colombia. The local Catholic Church is an important partner here, especially since the influence of government bodies in the region is severely limited. In close cooperation, a needs-based concept is created that is implemented efficiently and objectively in an unagitated manner, accompanied by transparent educational work but always without exaggerated self-congratulation, by those involved with the local partners.”
Dr. Mirjam Rossa
Head of the career support programme for women of the Begabtenförderungswerke, Bischöfliche Studienförderung Cusanuswerk, Bonn
„CASA HOGAR works calmly and efficiently. On an international level, they use the competences and the great motivation of all those involved inside and outside Colombia to offer girls and young women in one of the most problematic regions of the world a perspective for the future. I can’t imagine a more beautiful task!“
Prof. Dr. Ulrike Attenberger
University Professor and Director of the Clinic for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University Hospital Bonn.
“We cannot do without the skills of women in any country in this world. Female empowerment is an essential factor for the stabilisation and long-term prosperity of a country.”
Prof. Dr. Walter Bruchhausen

“Promoting the particularly disadvantaged in a global perspective is what I see as the greatest task of the world community and especially of high-income countries – and that is exactly what CASA HOGAR is doing for girls’ education in Chocó, Colombia.”
Anna Lucia Richter
Mezzo-soprano (opera and song)
“As a member of a more privileged part of the world, it is easy to turn a blind eye to the suffering in Chocó, Colombia. CASA HOGAR does not. CASA HOGAR and at its head Dr Theodor Rüber do invaluable work in the Chocó. In this way, girls and young women are given the opportunities that every human being should actually have as a birthright: To grow up in safety and to have access to education. I am therefore very pleased to support CASA HOGAR in this valuable work.”
Prof. Dr. Frank Bertoldi
Professor of Astrophysics and Vice-Dean of the Math. Nat. Faculty at the University of Bonn
“I support CASA HOGAR because the young, creative team has an extremely important goal for which they are as professional as they are convincing.”
Prof. Dr. Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider

“I am delighted to be able to support the work of CASA HOGAR. I myself have been and continue to be fortunate to establish myself in academia, partly through the support of companions along the way, and thus have the pleasure of being able to pursue my passion. At a time when it is still not self-evident for women in many parts of the world to lead their lives in a self-determined way, it is all the more important to be a support for each other. Through my involvement with CASA HOGAR, I would like to make a contribution to this.”

„Change happens with the individual, and education for young people has a major long-term impact. Today in particular, we need critical thinkers to tackle social challenges with a cool head. That is why I am very pleased to support CASA HOGAR.“

„I got to know Theodor Rüber and parts of his team a few years ago during an exchange of ideas. The enthusiasm and commitment for the project idea of Casa Hogar was tangible and very present from the very first second – until today. As a member of the advisory board and with my consulting background, I am happy to be able to make a small contribution to this extraordinary project and the people behind it.“
