Monseñor Mario de Jesús – our partner on site in Istmina

[vc_row css=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]Monseñor Mario de Jesús – the new bishop of the diocese Istmina-Tadó. He took over this duty in March 2018. At the latest since our visit in Istmina past summer and his visit to Bonn and Cologne past fall he has been promoting CASA HOGAR’s projects with full enthusiasm.

Mario de Jesús is a rather quiet man who doesn’t force his way into the first row or captures attention with blazing speeches. He is pragmatic and well-organized, he knows how to assert himself and handles all necessary matters – and not least he can delegate when recognizing that another individual is better fit for the task. For CASA HOGAR, he is an invaluable asset and the collaboration so far has proven to be extremely positive: getting written guarantees for land use rights, establishing institutions, assisting with the construction work – progress we have achieved with him in a relatively short time. It might not look spectacular from the outside, but it is of tremendous importance to ensure our development cooperation in a sustainable and longstanding way.

With his unpretentious and forthright demeanor, he has won the people of his bishopric over and has opened many doors for CASA HOGAR. We look further to future endeavors and are approaching the next steps with great confidence![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
