In January 2015, Dr. Theodor Rüber, a young doctor from Bonn, travels to Colombia to work as an intern in a hospital in Cali for a few weeks. On site, the fate of the people in the Chocó touched him deeply. That is why he contacted Bishop Julio García, who has been leading a sacrificial fight against misery and for the future of young people in the Chocó for five years. With various educational projects, Julio and his staff try to give girls and women in particular a perspective.
When Theodor Rüber returns to Germany, he sets to work. He wants to help and gathers a few friends around him, tells them what he has seen and what he plans to do. They all understand: The girls of Istmina are at risk. They need a house to live in.
Already at the beginning of 2016, the construction work begins, the vision becomes action!
